West Virginia Medicaid is increasing dental fees 6% beginning on April 1, 2026.
Your WVDA has forcefully advocated for a fee increase for the past few years through discussions with Medicaid, a formal request to Governor Morrisey, and proposed legislation this past legislative session.
Any upward adjustment to the fee schedule is appreciated, and the 6% increase is a step in the right direction. At the same time, it falls short of what is needed to meaningfully address the gap between current reimbursement levels and the actual cost of providing care.Β The WVDA work with Medicaid to understand their decision making around this change and future possibilities.
