As you know, the endorsed Bento dental benefit platform is an efficient way to submit claims and receive payments for employees with Bento coverage.
However, this efficiency is slowed down when County Boards of Education pay dental claims.Β Why?
West Virginia Law (WV Code 18-9-6) states County Boards of Education βcan make payment upon order the board.βΒ Therefore, no bills can be paid until the board orders them to be paid, which happens during their official board meetings.Β County boards of education meet once or twice a month, so all bills are held until they are approved at the meetings.
Bento does not cause the hold up for payment of claims for school system employees – our state law does.
