House Bill 4810 is the WVDA Dental Insurance Transparency Act
The same bill recently introduced in the Senate, SB 548, now has a companion bill in the House.Β House Bill 4810 was introduced today and was referred to both the House Health Committee and the House Finance Committee.
Last year, the bill was soley referred to the House Finance Committee where it died.Β Your WVDA will advocate to get the bill a hearing in the House Health Committee.
As you are aware, both HB 4810 and SB 548 advocate for an opt-in option for Virtual Credit Card payments and Lease Network arrangements.Β It would also require an 85% dental loss ratio for private insurers – guaranteeing 85% of premiums go towards patient care, NOT administrative expenses.
