Signed into law
Allows universal licensing of dentists and dental hygienists who establish residency in WV and pass a national clinical hand-skill exam - Senate Bill 810
Sent to the Governor for signature
Clarifies requirements for anesthesia administration and chronic pain practice by certain licensed nurses

- Dental Loss Ratio & Payment Reform Bill
Would have set a Dental Loss Ratio and regulated virtual credit card and network leasing practices

Medicaid Budget Update
- State-level Medicaid budget remained consistent with last year
- WVDA will monitor national-level actions that may affect the state program
RFK Jr. to Urge CDC to Change Fluoride Guidelines
RFK Jr., now Secretary of Health and Human Services, plans to direct the CDC to stop recommending community water fluoridation. He is assembling a task force of health experts to review and recommend changes.
ADA Response:
- Reaffirms support for community water fluoridation
- Stands by evidence-based research to improve public oral health
- Plans to meet with the EPA to support a comprehensive study on fluoride
