As announced in late May, WV Medicaid announced the fee for both D9244 and D9245 will change to $136.20 for both codes. This change will be retroactive to January 1, 2026.
It will take time to activate the fee and additional time to retroactively pay for the previous billings.
There seems to be a lot of confusion around this issue. This information is coming directly from WV Medicaid staff, not the insurance companies. The MCOs will change their fees and make them retroactive to 1/1/26.
