The House of Delegates has included a $5 million appropriation for the WVU-School of Dentistry in House Bill 5682. This appropriation bill allocates $72 million to the Higher Education Policy Commission for the three medical schools in the state. It specifically lists WVU-School of Dentistry to receive $5 million.
The bill will be up for a vote in the House on Wednesday. No opposition is expected. The bill will then it will go to the State Senate for their consideration. Once it hits the Senate, we will encourage WVDA members to contact Senate Finance Committee members to support the appropriation.
