Disappointingly, WV Medicaid did not have an answer for the WVDA’s request to strategically increase a series of Medicaid fees. The WVDA request was made in January and remains on the Medicaid Commissioner’s desk. The fees include dentures, partials, orthodontia, anesthesia, and many other preventative and restorative codes. Your WVDA will resend the request to be sure the new Secretary of Human Services is aware of the request, which was sent to the Governor and Commissioner in January.
Complaints about Liberty claims processes have significantly decreased. Medicaid reported they expect both Skygen and Liberty to continue with current processes for the time being.
